The Researcher Assistance and Training Project, which was initiated in 2012 in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of T&uuml;rkiye and the T&uuml;rkiye Diyanet Foundation&nbsp; in order to meet the recognized needs within the fields of Islamic studies, the humanities, and social sciences, due to the rapid increase in the number of universities in recent years, especially faculties of theology and Islamic sciences in T&uuml;rkiye.

Launched in 2012 as the Electronic Publication Project that could improve ISAM&rsquo;s article, thesis, and archive databases, and focusing on transforming the Diyanet Encyclopedia of Islam into an electronic encyclopedia since 2016, the project&rsquo;s vision and goals were expanded in 2022 to produce a more comprehensive technological infrastructure integration. At this point, its name was changed to the &ldquo;Digitalization Project&rdquo; &nbsp;

Within the framework of the TDV Encyclopedia of Islam History Project, which includes three interrelated sub-projects (Encyclopedia of Islam Oral History, Encyclopedia of Islam Archive and Encyclopedia of Islam Documentary)&minus;each conducted simultaneously with the works of the Second Edition and English Encyclopedia of Islam&minus;33 years&rsquo; worth of encyclopedia writing experience is shared with the Turkish and world community and future generations.
